My name is Ron Chambers and I was born and raised in the suburbs of New York City – “Go Yankees!” I have also been fortunate to live and work overseas, while visiting almost 60 countries.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in business economics and an MBA from Thunderbird, the American Graduate School of International Management. Working for Langevin Learning Services has been a very rewarding and enlightening journey. Prior experience as a college professor and a manager at American Express groomed me for the position I am in today as a course leader.
My training philosophy has been greatly shaped by working with, and learning from, an incredible team at Langevin Learning Services. To sum up my philosophy, I would like to share my favorite quote, “Do you love to talk to people or do you love the people you talk to?” WOW!
I was raised in a very sports-minded family where winters were spent snow skiing and summers were busy with water skiing, swimming, and playing volleyball. (Our family ruled the beach volleyball courts!) Having lived in the southwest for 18 years, I gained a deep appreciation for the great outdoors.
My life’s biggest lesson relates to my training philosophy and my love of people. Dale Carnegie, in his book “How to Win Friends and Influence People,” said to:
I always try to live by the above and have been generously rewarded!
My favorite Langevin moments occurred at the countless dinners with clients when we shared our stories, our passions, our beliefs and values, and even our dreams. Each time I’ve made a new friend! The closing scene in the movie classic, “It’s a Wonderful Life,” states that a man is rich who has many friends. Now I’m making these connections online in the virtual classroom!
